History of Drakefield HomeopathyDrakefield Homeopathy was founded in 1990 by Wendy Singer and a group of homeopaths including Adriana Marian who is still practising at the clinic. The first location was in Drakefield Road, South London.
The idea behind it was to create the type of group practice similar to acupuncture, osteopathy and GP practices, where practitioners can support each other in offering the best professional health care to their clients. We are continuing this tradition by using our collective knowledge when required, and offering a wide range of expertise to suit the different needs of the people interested in having homeopathic treatment. In addition we offer a locum service to each other during holidays.
Another ongoing feature of our group is to have monthly meetings when we share information from seminars and discuss research projects.
We also give talks on homeopathy to groups and organizations and we run regular short ‘Introduction to Homeopathy’ courses and workshops at our clinic.
We constantly widen our range of knowledge by regularly attending seminars, conferences and courses on homeopathy and some related subjects such as diet and nutrition, allergies, counselling, NLP (neuro-linguistic programming), lymphatic drainage and biofeedback devices.
We work with the homeopathic colleges by offering students supervision and the opportunity to sit in when clients agree.
In April 2006 our premises in Balham became unsuitable due to planned building works and so we relocated to Dryburgh Road in Putney.
We welcome men, women, young people and children to our practice and aim to provide an excellent homeopathic service to Putney & Barnes, Kensington & Chelsea, Fulham & Hammersmith, Richmond & Sheen, Balham, Wandsworth and Wimbledon.
